Craig Bennett joined the Loggers athletic department as the Head Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2005. Prior to arriving at Puget Sound, Craig served as the Head Athletic Trainer at the University of Redlands from 2004-05 and as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Chapman University from 1998-2004. He served as Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Chapman from 1996-1998 where he earned his Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership.
Bennett earned his Bachelor of Science in Movement and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Chapman in 1996. He played soccer for the Panthers where he earned Umbro Select All-American honors as a goalkeeper and Adidas Academic All-American honors his senior year. That year, the Panthers also advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
He has spent time working as a certified athletic trainer for the Los Angeles Heat Firefighter football team of the National Public Safety Football League from 1998-2004 and the US Youth Soccer Region IV Olympic Development Program from 1998 to the present. Craig also spent six years as a part-time professor in the Athletic Training Education Program at Chapman. In addition to those responsiblities, he coached the Panther women's soccer program for four seasons, guiding them to four NCAA tournament appearances and three NSCAA Top 25 finishes.
In his spare time, Craig enjoys spending time with his family,
playing golf, training for triathlons and watching sports and
movies. Craig, his wife Tiffany, their son Cade and their daughter
Riley reside in Puyallup.
Lisa Kenney joined the Loggers in the summer of 2007 after receiving her M.A. in Sport and Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University.
A native of Spokane, she graduated from Whitworth College in
2004 and worked as assistant athletic trainer for the Pirates in
2006-07.
Stana Landon joined the Logger staff in the summer of 2008. She was previously the head athletic trainer at Eastern Oregon University, where she received her Master's degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training. Stana received her Bachelors degree from University of Montana-Western in Environmental Science/Biology and Athletic Training.
A native of Dillon, Montana, she is a member of both the
National Athletic Trainers' Association and the College Athletic
Trainers' Association. She is also currently working on her
Doctorate of Education from Walden University.
Dr. Patrick Vaughan joined the Logger athletic training team team in 2008. A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Vaughan spent four years as a surgeon in the United States Navy, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander while stationed at Pensacola Naval Air Station.
Originally from San Diego, Calif., Dr. Vaughan earned his B.S. in Natural Sciences from Xavier University in Cincinnatti, Ohio befored moving on to Washington, D.C. to attend medical school at Georgetown University. He then did his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University before joining the Navy.
A member of the Pierce County Medical Society, Dr. Vaughan is a
member of Tacoma Orthopaedic Surgeons, Inc. and hold hospital
affiliations at Allenmore Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Tacoma
General Hospital.
