TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) raised more than $1,500 for hurricane relief with a rummage sale this past weekend. SAAC will donate the proceeds to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
SAAC members gathered old Puget Sound gear and sold more than 250 items during the football game on Saturday, Sept. 9 . The Loggers, in more ways than one, left Baker Stadium a winner that afternoon.
SAAC's reputation for its generosity and ambition continues to grow. Among many charitable activities last year, SAAC donated over 6,000 pounds of food to the FISH Food Banks of Pierce County, and provided holiday gifts to more than 60 individuals in the Tacoma community.
