The perennially dominant men’s and women’s crew teams row on American Lake and share the boathouse with Pacific Lutheran University and Commencement Bay Rowing Club. The 1998-1999 season was the first full year for the Loggers in the boathouse at Harry Todd Park.

Located 15 minutes south of campus, American Lake is a beautiful 4-mile stretch of evergreen trees and private homes that provides plenty of rowable water and magnificent sunrise and sunset views of Mount Rainier.

Excitement continues to build as the fall season inches closer. The Logger football team will report in just a few days on Aug. 14. Tyler Vlasak will report as a team captain and one of the top Logger veterans. Vlasak was named a preseason All-American in June by the Concensus Draft Services after earning a spot on All-NWC second team in 2009. “It is rewarding to have a player of Tyler’s athletic ability also be a tremendous campus leader while maintaining a 3.0 GPA,” said head coach Jeff Thomas. “He is the epitome of a Logger Football player and we hope to duplicate his work into several others this year.”
