TACOMA, Washington – The 2019 Puget Sound baseball season came to an end Saturday when the Loggers hosted Whitworth and Whitman for non-conference games. The Loggers lost to the Pirates, 14-1, and fell to the Blues, 12-3.

Before the games, Puget Sound celebrated seven senior student-athletes and their loved ones: Connor Dunn, Jack Gries, Tyler Brazelton, Nick Ultsch, Tyler Huling, Michael Warnick, and Dakota Marley.

Puget Sound also recognized senior student assistant Robby Lundquist, and the Loggers celebrated assistant coach Bob Walz's 25th year on staff with the Maroon & White.

A couple of Loggers hit their first home runs of the season during the last day of the season. Ricardo Barraza hit a solo home run in the second inning against Whitworth, and Shane Himeda also hit a solo shot in the eighth inning against Whitman.
