Loggers' W2V8 victorious at NWC Championship

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound's women's second varsity-eight took first place during the Northwest Conference Rowing Championships on American Lake Sunday morning, and the Loggers finished second overall.


Marites Exume and Hannah Lehman were both named to the All-NWC Team. 

The W2V8 timed in at 7:22.44, beating out Pacific Lutheran (7:25.93) and Lewis & Clark (7:39.53). The Loggers' first varsity-eight placed third, crossing the finish line in 7:26.70.

The Loggers finished with 36 points, edging out Lewis & Clark – which finished with 35. Pacific Lutheran won the conference title with 40 points. Only varsity-eight boats count towards overall points.

The Loggers won the varsity-four race with a time of 8:25.41, and the novice-four was also victorious by timing in at 8:16.88.
