TACOMA, Washington – The 2018 Puget Sound men's and women's crew season begins Saturday, March 10, in the Pacific Lutheran Invitational on American Lake.
Joining the Loggers and Lutes on American Lake are boats from Western Washington (NCAA D-II, women), Seattle University (men's club), and Seattle Pacific (NCAA D-II, women).
The first race Saturday is between men's varsity-eight boats from Pacific Lutheran and Western Washington at 8:40 a.m. The first Logger race is men's varsity-eight against Western Washington at 9 a.m. The first Puget Sound women's race is the varsity-eight against Seattle Pacific at 9:10 a.m. Click HERE for the full schedule.
Combatting childhood cancers
Members of Puget Sound's women's crew team up with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to fight childhood cancers. Several Loggers shaved their heads in an effort to raise funds and awareness. Click HERE for photos.
Puget Sound will host the 2018 Northwest Conference Crew Championships on American Lake, April 22. Following the women's conference championship, men's boats will race for the Rainier Cup.
