TACOMA, Washington - Shortly after being named the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week (defense), Teats decame the second Logger defensive back in as many weeks to be named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Teats, a 2017 All-NWC honoree, helped lead the Loggers to overcome a 20-point deficit for a 34-22 win at Lewis & Clark (Oct. 6). He finished with two interceptions and five tackles. Teats' first interception was returned 36 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter, giving the Loggers their first lead of the game, 21-20.
Teats' second interception ended Lewis & Clark's final possession of the game. He's the second Puget Sound defender score a touchdown this season. Matt Ahnin returned a fumble 76 yards for a touchdown during Puget Sound's season-opening win at Claremont-M-S. Ahnin also had three takeaways (two interceptions, fumble recovery) against the Pioneers.
Jason Clayton received the D3Football Team of the Week honor after the Loggers' overtime win against Pacific Lutheran (Sept. 29).
