Bean Selcted As NWC Athlete Of The Week For Men's Golf

Sophomore Adam Bean had an outstanding tournament last week in less than ideal conditions for his first medalist performance of his sophomore year and NWC Student-Athlete of the Week honors. Bean continued his impressive fall season as the only player to go under par at the PLU Invitational on Oct. 14-15. Bean shot a 2-under 70 in the second round of the tournament to finish 1-under and take the individual title by four strokes.

Bean will lead the Loggers into the NWC Fall Classic this weekend, which is the first of three tournaments used to decide the NWC champions at the end of the spring. The Loggers are the two-time defending champs of the Fall Classic.

Adam Bean is off to a strong start to his Logger career with a fifth-place finish at the NWC Fall Classic. The Loggers have won back-to-back team titles at the event and are looking for more wins this spring. “My expectations for the team this year is to make it to nationals. Last year the guys had it and lost in the conference championship. This year we are much more focused and determined to make it all the way and so far we have put ourselves in a good position heading into the second leg of the year.”
