WALLA WALLA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's golf team placed fifth out of seven teams at the Whitman Easter Invitational, and the women's team finished in sixth out of seven.
The men finished with a two-day score of 633 (+57). They were tied for third after the first round (314), but shot a 319 in the second round. Peter Bell was the Loggers' top finisher by tying for 11th overall (154, +10). He shot a 74 on the first day and an 80 on the second. Adam Bean placed 14th by shooting 155 (+11) through the two rounds.
The men scored a 780 (+204) through the two rounds. Halle Peterson came away with the Loggers' best finish, placing 23rd overall with a two-round score of 173 (+29).
Both Logger teams next compete at the Northwest Conference invitational on Saturday, April 11.
