BREMERTON, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's golf teams concluded the two-day Puget Sound Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club on Sunday. The Logger women finished fourth as a team, and the men placed sixth.
The Puget Sound women placed fourth overall (+169), led by Kristy Koyanagi's 10th-place finish (+26). Emmi Modahl tied for 15th overall by shooting an 85 in the first round, followed by a 90 in the second (+32). Women's teams opened on the Cascade Course Saturday, and finished on the Olympic Course Sunday.
Collin Rajczak tied for fifth overall (+9) in the men's competition, as the Loggers finished sixth overall (+57). Following his record-setting performance last week, Mac Turner tied for 15th (+13) after shooting an 80 in the firs round and 77 in the second. Brett Golden finished close behind by finishing 15 over par, tying for 25th.
The Logger men next compete in the Whitworth Fall Invitational, Oct. 1-2, while the women head to the Whitman Fall Invitational that same weekend.
