Turner earns Logger of the Week for record-setting rounds

TACOMA, Washington – Mac Turner's record-setting performance during the first rounds of the Puget Sound men's golf season led to a Logger Club Logger of the Week honor.

Turner set a Puget Sound record for best 36-hole score when he shot a 136 during the Collegiate Open (host by Pacific Lutheran), which concluded on Monday, Sept. 18. Turner shot a 68 in both rounds.  Justin Benz (2003), Matt Ristine (2003, 2005), and Matt Kitto (2011) were all tied for the previous record, 141.
