Golf teams head to Washington's capitol for NWC Spring Classic

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound golf teams make the quick trip to Olympia, Washington this weekend for the Northwest Conference Spring Classic at the Olympia Country Club.

Puget Sound men's senior Colin Rajczak was named the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week after placing first in the NWC North (April 7). He shot a 72 in the one-round event hosted by Whitman.

The Logger men will also lean on Mac Turner, who began the spring season by placing second overall in the Boxer Invitational (Feb. 23-24). First-year Logger Cole Albert is also poised to make in impact after placing eighth in the Boxer Invitational and seventh in the Puget Sound invitational (March 9-10).

Kristi Koyanagi continues to improve as the season progresses, as she finished 10th overall in the Whitworth Women's Spring Invitational (April 6-7). Emmi Modahl and Onti Rosen are also expected to pace the Logger women.

During the NWC Fall Classic in October 2018, the Logger men placed sixth overall, and the women were seventh.
