Men's basketball dominates George Fox on the road, 98-75

NEWBERG, Oregon – Five Loggers scored in double figures as the Puget Sound men's basketball team rolled past George Fox, 98-75 , on Friday night.

Kohl Meyer filled the stat sheet for Puget Sound (3-4, 1-1 NWC). The junior tied for a game-high 19 points to go with eight rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. Carlos Mancasola also netted 19 points for the Loggers as he shot 7-for-9 from the floor and 3-for-4 from behind the arc.

Andre Lewis finished 14 points and six boards, while Zach Miller and Timmy Saunders each tallied 10 points and four rebounds.

Puget Sound and George Fox (0-5, 0-1 NWC) were tied, 27-27, with five minutes left in the first half when a layup by Meyer sparked a 17-6 run for the Loggers. Puget Sound closed out the first half with its first double-digit lead, 44-33, after Zach Miller hit Andre Lewis with a pass from half court to give a Lewis an easy layup just before the buzzer.

The Loggers return home on Monday, Dec. 7, to host Portland Bible for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
