The first time around

Puget Sound's two overtime games this season were at home against Willamette and Lewis & Clark. The Loggers beat the Bearcats on Jan. 6, 71-69, but lost to the Pioneers the next day, 76-70. Easton Driessen scored a season-high 25 points against Willamette, and Carlos Mancasola netted 21 points against Lewis & Clark. Kohl Meyer posted a double-double in both games. The senior finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds against Willamette, followed by 15 points and 10 rebounds against Lewis & Clark.

The wrong kind of streak

The Loggers enter the weekend with three consecutive losses and six losses in their last seven games. Half of those six losses have been decided six points or less.

The numbers are there

Despite their recent woes, the Loggers have the Northwest Conference's third-best scoring offense with 78.2 points per game. Defensively, the Loggers are also third in the NWC by allowing only 70.8 points per game.

Mr. Everything

Kohl Meyer remains among the league leaders in several statistics. He is tied for first in assists per game (4.5), ranks third in steals (1.9), fourth in rebounds (8.4), and fourth in field-goal percentage (56.8).

Scouting Lewis & Clark (8-12, 5-6 NWC)

The Pioneers' 84-80 win over George Fox on Jan. 31 snapped a four-game losing streak. Lewis & Clark does a good job of taking care of the ball, averaging just 13.0 turnovers per game (the NWC leader – Pacific Lutheran – averages 12.2 turnovers). However, opponents are shooting 47.0 percent from the floor against the Pioneers. Cannen Roberson is the team's leading scorer with 12.2 points per game, and Jonathan Boddie is third in the NWC with 8.5 rebounds per game.

Scouting Willamette (3-16, 1-9 NWC)

The last-place Bearcats enter the weekend with seven losses in their last eight games. Their lone win during that stretch was a 70-69 victory over Pacific. Willamette is last in scoring 68.4 points per game, and it is the only team in the NWC shooting under 40 percent from the floor (39.8 percent). Jordan Jenkins is Willamette's leading scorer with 10.8 points per game.
