Men's Soccer Falls To Vikings, 2-1

CHICAGO, Ill. - Falling behind on two goals in the first half, the Puget Sound Loggers couldn't complete the comeback attempt in an NCAA Division III men's soccer match, falling 2-1 to the North Park Vikings on Friday night in Chicago, Ill.

The Vikings took the lead in the 31st minute when Isaac Lee took a pass from Steve Hosch and powered a shot past Logger keeper Greg Saetrum (Boise, Idaho/Timberline).  Lee scored again in the 40th minute to give North Park the 2-0 lead going into half.

The Loggers turned up the offensive attack in the second half, outshooting the Vikings 10-7 in the final 45 minutes.  Chris Shaw (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene Charter) scored the Loggers only goal in the 85th minute.  The unassisted goal was the sophomore's first collegiate score.

Another in a long line of solid goalkeepers at Puget Sound, Greg is known for his quiet confidence in net. "Being a Logger represents a lifelong bond. I will always rely on the education and skills I acquired at Puget Sound but I will also cling to the memories and lessons I learned while playing soccer."
