Peterson, Hyde Earn First Team All-NWC Honors

TACOMA, Wash. - After providing leadership to a young 2008 squad, junior defender Cole Peterson (Great Falls, Mont./C.M. Russell) and senior midfielder Taylor Hyde (Sandy, Utah/Waterford) have been named First Team All-NWC selections, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Peterson anchored a back line that allowed just 20 goals on the year and earned six shutouts.  Peterson also played a bit of forward, scoring two goals and assisting on two others.

Hyde earns honors in his senior season after leading the Logger offense to a productive season.  Hyde led the Loggers with eight goals on the year, assisting on three others, and he was two-of-two on penalty kick opportunities.

Sophomore defender Ben Coffey (Mt. Vernon, Wash./Western Washington) was named Honorable Mention All-NWC, as was senior defender Kyle Johnson (Bremerton, Wash.) and  junior forward Alex Lehecka (Burlington, Wash./Burlington-Edison)
