FOREST GROVE, Ore. – All three goals were scored in the first half as the Puget Sound men's soccer won its fourth consecutive match 2-1 over Pacific. The Loggers (10-6, 9-4 NWC) scored the game-winner on an own goal from Pacific (4-12-1, 4-8-1 NWC).
The game-winning own goal came in the 35th minute when a Pacific player deflected a ball past the keeper.
The Loggers scored previously just six and a half minutes into the match. Andrew White scored from five yards after Connor LaFerrere played in White behind the defense.
Pacific knotted up the game at 1-1 at the 28:11 mark. Alex Arrington picked up a deflected ball and pushed it past the keeper for the Boxers only goal.
The Loggers outshot the Boxers 14-9 in the match, including 8-3 in the second half. Chris McDonald made four saves for the Loggers.
The Loggers season will conclude next Saturday when they go across town to face Pacific Lutheran at 2:30 p.m.
