Three Loggers Named NWC Student-Athletes Of The Week

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Puget Sound Loggers placed three on this week's list of Northwest Conference Student-Athletes of the Week. Haley Rosenberg, Chris McDonald and Jackie Harvey all earned the weekly honor.

Chris McDonald earned the honor after turning in a clean sheet for the week. McDonald posted back-to-back shutouts this week to become the school's all-time record-holder for shutouts in a career. The two shutouts this weekend gave him 32 for his career, breaking the previous record of 30. His 32 career shutouts currently rank fourth all-time in the NCAA Division III. His 12 shutouts this year are also just one shy of the school record.

Haley Rosenberg scored a pair of game-winners and tallied five points this week to help the Logger women's soccer team climb back in the driver's seat to a Northwest Conference title. Rosenberg struck in the first half at Pacific Lutheran and then scored a goal and earned an assist in the second half at George Fox. The two wins coupled with Linfield and Whitworth losses gave the Loggers the upper hand in the title race. If they win their three matches this week, they will claim their 11th straight conference crown.

Harvey claimed the NWC weekly honor as well as being selected as the AVCA's national player of the week. She had a season-high 21 kills against Linfield and averaged 4.86 kills per set for the week.
