No. 24 Loggers lose to Boxers in double overtime, 1-0

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – The Puget Sound men's soccer team delivered nine shots on goal, but Pacific needed just one shot on net to beat the Loggers in double overtime, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Ezra Kraus put a shot on goal four minutes into the first overtime, and Cameron Lorek's header one minute later was stopped by Pacific goalkeeper Leyton Thomassen.

Gunnar Swenson scored the game-winner for the Boxers (3-3-0, 1-0-0 NWC) in the second overtime.

Kraus put all four of his shot attempts on goal during the game. Lorek also put both of his shots on target for the afternoon.

Puget Sound (3-2-0, 0-1-0) amassed 13 total shots, while Pacific put just two shots on target. The Loggers also earned seven corner kicks to the Boxers' one.

The Loggers look to bounce back at George Fox on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2:30 p.m.
