Loggers shutout Bruins, 4-0

TACOMA, Washington –The Puget Sound men's soccer team earned its fifth conference win, 4-0, over George Fox on Peyton Field Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers tallied their first of four goals in the 11th minute when Forward Ezra Kraus headed in Vincent Von Luehrte's corner kick.

Kraus was hungry for another goal and recorded his second in the 21st minute after netting a cross from Luke Murdock. This was Kraus's fifth goal of the season and his second multi-goal game.

Just eight minutes later Benjamin Whitman captured the Loggers third goal. Whitham received a cross from Von Luehrte and beat the Bruin goalkeeper, leveraging Puget Sound to a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Stefan Jensen notched the Loggers fourth and final goal in the 64th minute after executing a beautiful shot off of Sean Hamel's corner kick.

Puget Sound recorded two more shots after their fourth goal, and out-shot the Bruins 15-7.

The Loggers remain at home to take on Pacific on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 12 p.m.
