WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Puget Sound men's soccer team recorded eight shots, but failed to close their 1-0 deficit to the Whitman Blues Sunday afternoon.
The Loggers were able to notch two shots before the Blues found the only goal of the match in the 30th minute. Whitman defender Jadon Bachtold tallied his first goal of the season off a header, securing the Blues 1-0 lead.
Puget Sound pushed for a goal early in the second half, firing off three shots in the first 15 minutes, but failed to find the equalizer.
Goalkeeper Wren Norwood recorded six saves, three in each half.
The Loggers have three important home games to wrap up conference play, kicking off on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2:30 p.m. vs. Linfield.
