TACOMA, Washington – Six Puget Sound men's soccer student-athletes earned All-Northwest Conference honors, the league announced Thursday.
Senior defenseman Zac Lokay, senior forward Ezra Kraus, and sophomore forward Luke Murdock, were named to the All-NWC Second Team. Senior midfielder Benjamin Whitham, junior midfielder Stefan Jensen, and sophomore defenseman Skye Guegan were named All-NWC Honorable Mention.
Lokay and Guegan held down a back line that far and away led the league in fewest goals allowed. Puget Sound allowed 12 goals all season, and Pacific Lutheran held the next closest mark at 17.
Despite battling an injury for most of the season, Kraus totaled 12 points on five goals (including three game-winners) and two assists in 11 games.
Murdock netted four goals this fall, and none were more memorable than his pair against Linfield (Oct. 28). With the Loggers trailing by a goal, Murdock scored the equalizer in the 90th minute, and then scored the game-winner in the 104th minute.
Jensen and Whitham controlled the middle of the field for Puget Sound, combining for three goals and three assists.
