TACOMA, Washington - Sam Zisette '16 recently committed to continuing his playing career in Tacoma by signing with the Tacoma Stars Soccer Club.
Zisette was a three-time All-Northwest Conference selection during his playing career with the Loggers. He currently serves on the Puget Sound coaching staff.
"At Puget Sound I learned how to be disciplined and to hold myself accountable to being my best," said Zisette. "The soccer program demands this of you, and I tried to embrace it as much as possible. Playing for the Logger soccer team didn't just make me a better soccer player, but also taught me about what it takes to be successful in whatever I do. Also, learning how to balance soccer and school taught me these lessons on discipline and accountability as I had to manage my time accordingly. Puget Sound absolutely prepared me to play professional soccer.
"I'm extremely grateful and excited to be back in Tacoma for the Stars season. I grew up in Seattle, but Tacoma truly feels like home after going to Puget Sound and then living in Tacoma for a year after graduating. I can't wait to be able to play in front of my family, friends, and the great Tacoma Stars fans."
