M. Tennis Pulls Past Bruins, 6-3

TACOMA, Wash. - Taking two of three doubles matches gave the Puget Sound Loggers enough momentum to defeat the George Fox Bruins, 6-3, in a Northwest Conference men's tennis match on Friday afternoon at UPS Tennis Pavilion in Tacoma, Wash.

In doubles play, the Loggers collected wins at the number two and three spots to take the early lead.  In singles play, Andrew Timmons (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) collected a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Garrett Thompson and Carl Larson (Portland, Ore./Wilson) posted an identical score over Scott Porter at the sixth spot.

The Loggers will continue to work towards a seed in the upcoming NWC Championships when they play host to Lewis & Clark on Saturday.
