Women's tennis extends winning streak to three matches

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's tennis team extended its winning streak to three matches when it defeated Pacific, 7-2, in a Northwest Conference contest at home Sunday afternoon. The Logger men lost at Pacific, 9-0.

Tresa Bild made quick work of her opponent at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-1). Bild and Bridget Myers teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Myers also won at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-3).

Nicole Bouche won at No. 2 singles (6-0, 2-6, 7-5), and Lisa Owen won at No. 1 singles (6-7, 6-4, 1-0). The pair teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-6. Claire Fitzgerald and Barclay Fagg were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 9-8.

The Logger men next compete at Pacific Lutheran, March 24, and the women compete next in the NWC at home against Linfield, March 25.
