Softball Knocks Off #17 OIT, 5-4

MEDFORD, Ore. - It went down to the final half inning but the Puget Sound Loggers knocked off the 17th-ranked Oregon Tech Owls, 5-4, at the SOU Invitational on Saturday morning at US Cellular Park in Medford, Ore.

Statistics from the game will not be available until Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

The Loggers open up the Northwest Conference schedule next weekend when they play host to Lewis & Clark on Saturday and George Fox on Sunday.  Both doubleheaders are set to begin at Noon on Logger Softball Field in Tacoma, Wash.

As a freshman, Megan took over the duties as starting catcher and the rest of the Northwest Conference quickly learned who she as her cannon arm threw out 18 runners in 2009. "My best memory as a Logger was our spring break trip to California and just getting to hang out with my teammates."
