Logger swimming opens 2014-15 season at Simon Fraser

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's swimming teams opened the 2014-15 campaign at Simon Fraser on Saturday. The men's team came up short, 159-91, and the women's squad lost, 170-81.

Overall, Melissa and Ally Hembree tied for sixth place with 10 points apiece. On the men's side, Nick Mitchell and Matthew Ramos also tied for sixth after they each totaled 10 points.

Also placing in the top 10 for the Puget Sound women was Melissa Keegans, who finished eighth with nine total points. Zander Biro also finished eighth for the men's team after collecting nine points.

The Loggers return to the pool for the Don Duncan Alumni Meet on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Northwest Conference Relay Meet at Willamette on Friday, Oct. 31.
