Women fourth, men fifth after first day of NWC Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's swim teams rounded out the first day of the Northwest Conference Championships in good standing. Pacific Lutheran is hosting the three-day event at Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.

Day 1 Results

The Logger women are fourth place out of eight NWC teams, while the men are in fifth.

On the women's side, Auri Clark finished fourth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:10.33, picking up 15 points for the Loggers. Grace Lawson added 11 points by finishing eighth in the 50 freestyle (24.71).

Nick Mitchell and Jaycob Davies placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 500 freestyle. Mitchell timed in at 4:41.50, and Davies touched the wall in 4:41.64. Keven Henley timed in at 21.46 in the 50 freestyle, good for eighth overall.

The NWC Championships continue on Saturday, Feb. 13.
