Logger swim teams earn third place at NWC Relay Meet

PARKLAND, Washington – Both the Puget Sound men's and women's swim teams placed third in the Northwest Conference Relay Meet hosted by Pacific Lutheran Saturday.

The Logger men totaled 19 points, and the Puget Sound women matched Whitman with 19 points for a share of third place.

The Puget Sound women's 300-yard butterfly relay team was victorious with a time of 3:20.29 (Kristian Kotchik, Kaarina Nyman, Josie McLoughlin). The women also earned a win in the 500-free relay by timing in at 5:08.63 (Jenny Miller, Kassidy Cook, Rylee Downs, Sydni Resnick).

The Logger men took second in the 300-breastroke rely by touching the wall in 3:28.11 (Patrick Wigger, Matt Ruegg, Travis Bender).

Puget Sound's mixed 400 freestyle relay team came away with a win by finishing in 3:35.56 (Matt Ruegg, Travis Bender, Carmen Mena, Rylee Downs).

The Loggers' next meet is a dual at Lewis & Clark on Friday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.
