Women's swimming beats Whitworth in Spokane

SPOKANE, Washington – The Puget Sound women's swim team beat Whitworth on the road, 117-88, but the Logger men lost to the Pirates, 141-58, Saturday afternoon.

Results 

Kelli Callahan and Calista Skog placed first and second, respectively, in the women's 200-yard freestyle. Callahan touched the wall in 1:59.34, and Skog finished in 2:02.97. Callahan earned another first-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:07.31).

Melisa Kegans and Erin Jenkins also finished back-to-back in the 100-freestyle. Kegans timed in at 56.98, and Jenkins finished in 57.26. The 200-freestyle relay team comprised to Skog, Kayla DiMicco, Kai Haven, and Kayli Brown was victorious by finishing in 1:44.23. 

In men's races, Ian Conery won the 100-breastroke by timing in at 1:00.80. He also placed third in the 100-freestyle (51.07), just behind teammate Ethan Done – who took second place with a time of 50.29. 

Justin Sasano had two second-place finishes – one in the 200-freestyle (1:50.50), and the other in the 100-butterfly (56.32). Dylan Reimers was second in the 500 freestyle (4:51.06).

Puget Sound has more meet before the Northwest Conference Championships (Feb. 9-11), as the Loggers host Pacific Lutheran, Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m.
