Callahan named NWC Student-Athlete of the Week for fourth time

TACOMA, Washington - Sophomore swimmer Kelli Callahan earned her fourth Northwest Conference Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week honor, the conference announced this week. She was also named the Logger of the Week. 

Callahan also earned the NWC honor Jan. 22, Jan. 15, and Dec. 4.

During Puget Sound's dual against Pacific Lutheran, Jan. 27, Callahan finished the 200-yard IM in 2:07.25, topping Ronda Blair's 1992 record-setting time of 2:08.48.

In addition to winning the 200-IM, Callahan won three more races against the Lutes: 100-breaststroke (1:06.54), 500-freestyle (5:08.33), and the 200-medley relay (1:50.97).

The Loggers next compete in the Northwest Conference Championships, Feb. 9-11, in Weyerhaeuser Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.
