  • Loggers send seniors out on top

    Soon after honoring Logger seniors, the Puget Sound men’s and women’s swim teams both dominated Northwest Conference home duals against Willamette in Wallace Pool Saturday afternoon. The Puget Sound women topped the Bearcats, 137-67, and the Logger men beat Willamette by a score of 143-60.
  • Loggers return to Wallace Pool and dominate George Fox

    It was a triumphant return to Wallace Pool for the Puget Sound men’s and women’s swim teams, as both Logger squads topped George Fox in Northwest Conference duals Friday night. The Logger women won by a 146-61 margin, and the Logger men were victorious, 144.5-62.5. Friday was the Loggers’ first home meet since the Logger Invitational concluded Dec. 2.

    Following three days and 36 total events in Wallace Pool, the Puget Sound men’s team team finished fourth and the Logger women placed fifth in the Logger Invitational, which concluded Sunday. There were eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams, in all.

    Kelli Callahan in the Northwest Conference Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this year, and there’s still plenty of season left. Callahan earned the honor four times last year as a sophomore.

  • Puget Sound to co-host 2021 NCAA D-III Swimming & Diving Championships

    The University of Puget Sound will co-host the 2021 NCAA Division-III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, the NCAA recently announced. The Championships will take place March 17-20, 2021, and will include nearly 500 student-athletes from across the country.

    The Puget Sound women’s swim team won its second Northwest Conference dual in as many days with a 103-102 victory over visiting Linfield. The Logger men lost to the Wildcats, 110-78.

    The Puget Sound men’s and women’s swim teams had a strong start to their home seasons as both Logger squads beat Lewis & Clark in the first Northwest Conference dual of the year. The Puget Sound men won, 124-79, and the Logger women were victorious by a score of 120-85.

    The first Northwest Conference home duals of the 2018-19 Puget Sound men’s and women’s swim seasons are scheduled for this weekend in Wallace Pool. The Loggers will host Lewis & Clark Friday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m., and then welcome Linfield Saturday, Nov. 3, at  1 p.m.
