Reynolds Improves Provisional Time at Husky Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. - It took an early morning wake-up call but Puget Sound junior Francis Reynolds (Palo Alto, Calif.) used a ninth-place performance in the 5000m at the Husky Classic to improve his NCAA Division III Provisional Qualifying time by over five seconds.

After running a 14:47.50 at the UW Winter Preview on Dec. 6, Reynolds took ninth in the first heat, which began at 7:30 a.m. at Dempsey Indoor on the University of Washington campus.  Reynolds crossed the finish line with a time of 14:42.47, the sixth fastest time in Division III this season according to Raceberryjam.com.

The 2009 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for March 13-14 at the Rose-Hulman Sports and Recreation Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
