Loggers Host Shotwell Invite

TACOMA, Wash. - Finally receiving some good weather as a gift from Mother Nature, the Puget Sound Loggers played host to the JD Shotwell Invitational on Saturday at Baker Stadium in Tacoma, Wash.

For the Loggers, Caitlin McGrane (Colville, Wash.) took first place in the women's 100m Hurdles with a mark of 15.21.  Senior Darrell Stewart (Long Beach, Calif./Loyola) took first in the men's 100m Dash with a mark of 11.20 to  defeat the 37-person field. 

The Loggers also collected a victory in the men's 4x100m Relay with a winning time of 43.97.

Puget Sound will get a preview of the site for the 2009 NWC Championships when they travel to Forest Grove, Ore. next week for the Pacific Invitational.
