Loggers Improve Marks In Final Tune-Up

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - In their final meet before the 2010 Northwest Conference Championships, the Puget Sound Loggers improved a handful of marks on Saturday at the Spike Arlt Invitational in Ellensburg, Wash.

Sophomore Andrea Leiken (Portland, Ore./Sunset) improved her season bests in both the 200m dash (27.06) and 400m dash (1:00.86) as she will look to gain the Loggers points next weekend in Spokane.

In the women's pole vault, Maya Heck (Corvallis, Ore.) cleared 3.00m (9-10) to improve her best mark this season.  In the hammer, sophomore Maggie Klee (Portland, Ore./Jesuit) improved her best mark by over a meter, throwing the weight 38.98m.

The Logger men didn't garner any additional qualifiers for the NWC Championships, which will be held next Friday and Saturday at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash.
