SPOKANE, Wash. – Andrea Leiken had another outstanding performance in the 400m, winning the Puget Sound track & field team's only event at the Sam Adams Invitational.
Leiken sprinted to the win in the 400m with a personal-best time of 57.22. The time was a season-best by exactly one second over her time from the Peyton Scoring Meet last week and is the second-best time in school history. She also has the best time in the Northwest Conference.
Leiken also helped the women's 4x400m relay team take the title with a 4:05.43. Maya Heck had another standout performance for the women when she finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 9-feet, 6.25-inches.
Matt Klein had the best finish on the men's side when he finished third in the 5000m run with a time of 15:37.89. Robert Snowden also finished fourth in the 400m with a 52.33.
The Loggers are back home next Saturday for their final home meet of the season at the Shotwell Invitational.
