TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's track & field teams both placed seventh at the 31st Shotwell Invitational on Saturday. The Logger men totaled 42 points, while the women finished with 53 points. Central Washington won the women's event, while Spokane Community College was the top finisher on the men's side.
Emery Bradlina continued her strong sophomore season by winning the 400-m dash with a time of 58.38. She also placed second in the 800-m run, crossing the finish line in 2:14.68. Alison Wise followed closely in the 800-m, as her 2:20.61 was good for third.
Hannah Eshelman finished second in the 3,000-m steeplechase with a time of 12:45.78.
Isaac Fournier took second place in the men's 800-m by finishing in 1:56.10, and Matthew Wells was fourth in the 110-m hurdle (15.35). Liam Monaghan finished second in the 3,000-m steeplechase with a time of 10:02.48.
The Puget Sound men's 4x400 relay team comprised of Graham Cobb, Wells, Kai Moya, and Fournier placed second by finishing in 3:28.13.
The Loggers are back in action at the Pacific Luau Invitational in Forest Grove, Oregon, on April 8.
