TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound track & field program returns to Pullman, Washington, for the Cougar Indoor, Feb. 2 – 3. The Loggers previously competed in the Washington State Indoor Open, Jan. 20.

Sophomore Matt Wells opened the indoor season by setting the school record in the long jump (6.62 meters) and tying his own school record in the 60-m hurdles (8.43) during the Washington State Indoor Open (Jan. 20). Last week, Wells shattered his school record in the 60-m hurdles by cross the finish line in 8.31 seconds during the Husky Invitational (Jan. 27).
In addition to Matt Wells' performance the last time Puget Sound was in Pullman, several other Loggers finished top 10 in their events. Emery Bradlina placed second in the 800-m (2:24.35), and she tied for fourth in the mile run (5:21.87). Alison Wise was ninth in the 800-m run (2:29.35), and Samantha Schaffer was seventh in the 7,000-m run (10:49.22). Isaac Fournier finished fourth in the men's mile run (4:33.37).
