Shotwell Invitational marks last home meet of 2018

TACOMA, Washington – Competing in their last home meet of the season, the Puget Sound women's track & field team placed fifth out of 14 teams, and the men finished sixth out of 12 teams in the JD Shotwell Invitational Saturday afternoon.

In women's competition, Alison Wise won the 800-m run with a time of 2:20.62, and Samantha Schaffer placed second in the 5,000-m run by timing in at 18:07.59. 

On the men's side, Matt Wells won the 110-m hurdles by crossing the finish line in 14.77 seconds. Brandin Porter was second in the discus by clearing 42.71-m. Liam Monaghan placed third in the 5,000-mun with a time of 15:54.96.

The Loggers next compete in the Linfield Invitational, April 7.
