TACOMA, Washington – The 2019 Puget Sound outdoor track & field season begins Saturday, March 2, when the Loggers host the Ed Boitano Invitational.
Long-time Puget Sound track & field assistant coach Ed Boitano passed away in October 2016. He is heralded for his selflessness and dedication for Puget Sound student-athletes. Boitano's daughter, Andrea Donovan, is in the Puget Sound Hall-of-Fame.

Puget Sound welcomes competitors from Whitworth, Lewis & Clark, Western Washington, Saint Martin, Seattle Pacific, Everett Community College, and Olympic College.
Loggers to look for
Freshman Sydney Denham was impressive during the indoor season, and she will compete in the women's high jump. Fellow freshman women's jumper Naloni Haskins will compete in the long jump. Jack Monaghan will run in the men's 800-m, the same event in which he earned All-Northwest Conference last year. Colin Monaghan, the 2018 NWC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year, will compete in the 1,000-m run.
Puget Sound makes the short trip to Parkland, Washington the Pacific Lutheran Invitational March 9. The Loggers host two more meets this season: The Peyton Scoring Meet (March 16) and the Shotwell Invitational (April 6).
