Track & field teams place second in Shotwell Invitational

TACOMA, Washington – Both the Puget Sound men's and women's track & field teams finished in second place during the JD Shotwell Invitational in Baker Stadium Saturday.

Results

Puget Sound's top finishers include Rachael Metzler, who placed first in the women's 800-m run (2:22.74). Sydney Denham won the women's high jump by clearing 1.47-m, and Lura Morton was second in the women's 200-m dash (27.86).

Naloni Haskins took second in the women's long jump (4.56-m), and Kaitlin Cochran was also second in the women's triple jump (9.67-m).

In men's competition, Collin Heimbach won the 400-m dash (51.47), and Isaac Fournier won the 800-m dash (2:00.05). Jack Monaghan was victorious in the 1,500-m run (4:11.10), and Colin Monaghan was second in the 5,000-m run (14:53.33).

The next meet for Puget Sound is the St. Martin's Invitational, April 13.
