Four Loggers to compete in the Portland Twilight

TACOMA, Washington – Four Puget Sound track & field student-athletes will compete in the Portland Twilight Friday, May 3. Lewis & Clark is hosting the event.

Isaac Fournier and Jack Monaghan are slated to run in the 800-m at 5:15 p.m., and Matt Wells is expected to compete in the 110-m hurdles at 6 p.m. Colin Monaghan is scheduled to race in the 5,000-m at 8:15 p.m.

Colin Monaghan was named the Northwest Conference Track & Field Men's Freshman of the Year after winning the NWC title in the 10,000-m run (31:32.06). He also placed fourth in the 5,000-m run with a time of 15:37.23. 

Matt Wells successfully defended his NWC title in the 110-m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.85. Jack Monaghan earned All-NWC in the men's 1,500-m, as his time of 4:03.06 was good for third place. Fournier narrowly missed an All-NWC bid in the 800-m, as he placed fourth with a time of 1:57.96.
