NWC Tournament Coming To Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. - For the fifth straight year, the Puget Sound Logger women's basketball team will be playing host to at least one game in the Northwest Conference Tournament, taking on Whitworth on Thursday in a semi-final game.

The 15th-ranked Loggers have earned the second seed in the conference tournament and will host the Whitworth Pirates in one of two games played on Thursday evening.  The other conference semi-final will match Lewis & Clark and George Fox in a game in Newberg, Ore.  Both games are set for 7:00 p.m. with the two winning teams meeting on Saturday for the conference's automatic qualification to the 2010 NCAA Division III Tournament.

Ticket prices for Thursday's game are $7 for adults and $5 for students/seniors/military.  Students from both Puget Sound and Whitworth will be admitted free with valid identification.  Per NWC guidelines, no other complimentary admissions will be granted, including faculty/staff from both institutions and family members of participating student-athletes.

For fans who are unable to attend the game, Puget Sound is happy to offer both an internet audio broadcast, as well as live statistics.  Links to both can be found at http://loggerathletics.com/information/mediacenter.
