  • SAAC hosts Special Olympics Field Day

    In one of the most popular annual events for Puget Sound athletics, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted the Metro Parks Tacoma Special Olympics on Monday, April 17. Special Olympians competed in basketball, kickball, and soccer with the support of Logger student-athletes from all 23 varsity teams.

    The Puget Sound women’s basketball team finished a record-setting 2016-17 season in the second round of the NCAA Division III basketball tournament. The conference regular season champion Loggers finished the season 26-3 overall, with a perfect 16-0 Northwest Conference record.

    The No. 9/10 Puget Sound women’s basketball team is set to host NCAA Division III First and Second Round games this weekend. The Loggers will take on UC Santa Cruz on Friday, March 3, at 7 p.m. following a match-up between Whitman and George Fox at 5 p.m. The winner of the two games will play at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 4.
