Lange becomes third Logger this season to earn NWC weekly honor

TACOMA, Washington – Freshman Jamie Lange was named the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for women's basketball after a monster weekend against a couple of conference teams.

Lange scored 17 points and grabbed seven boards during the Loggers' 74-57 win at Lewis & Clark on Feb. 3. The following day, the Lake Tapps, Washington, native pulled down 18 rebounds and scored 21 points as the Loggers beat Willamette, 76-64.

In 12 conference games this season, Lange is averaging 13.0 points and 7.8 rebounds in just 16.1 minutes per game.

Lange is the third Logger this season to earn the NWC weekly honor. Elizabeth Prewitt received the award twice (Dec. 5, Jan. 2), and Samone Jackson got the nod a few weeks ago (Jan. 16).

The Loggers (20-1, 12-1 NWC) return to Memorial Fieldhouse on Friday, Feb. 10, for a showdown between nationally-ranked teams when Puget Sound tips off against Whitman at 6 p.m.
