TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's basketball team's two All-Northwest Conference First Team selections are now D3hoops.com All-West Region honorees.
Jamie Lange, the 2018-19 NWC Player of the Year, was named to the All-West Region First Team, and Elizabeth Prewitt was placed on the All-West Region Third Team. Lange receives an All-Region honor for the second consecutive season. She earned All-West Region Second Team following the 2017-18 campaign.
Lange is the fourth Logger in Puget Sound women's basketball history to be named NWC Player of the Year. Emily Sheldon was the NWC Player of the Year for the 2015-16 season. Claire Ely won the honor in 2009-10, and Puget Sound Hall of Famer Kristina Goos was the NWC Player of the Year in 1996-97.
Lange was an All-NWC First Team honoree in 2017-18, and she was on the Second Team in 2016-17. Prewitt was an All-NWC Second Team honoree following both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
Both Lange and Prewitt eclipsed 1,000 career points this year. Prewitt is the Loggers' No. 10 all-time leading scorer, and Lange is the No. 5 all-time leading rebounder.
By the end of the 2018-19 regular season, Lange led the NWC in rebounding (11.6), ranked third in scoring (17.1), and fourth in field-goal percentage (50.6). She achieved those numbers while playing only 24.0 minutes per game, which ranks fifth on the team.
Prewitt rounded out the regular season as the NWC's fourth top scorer, averaging 15.7 points per game. She also had the sixth-best 3-point percentage (36.7 percent) and the 10th-best field-goal percentage (47.1 percent).
