Women's basketball to represent Puget Sound, USA in Spain

TACOMA, Washington – Three Puget Sound women's basketball student-athletes and two coaches leave for Spain Monday, June 3, with Beyond Sports Tours. The trip includes several games against local teams, community service initiatives, and guided tours of Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona.

RaeAnn Allen, Giavanna Sorn, and Sammie Swartout will represent the Loggers as they play alongside NCAA D-III student-athletes from across the country. Swartout will play on a team led by Puget Sound head coach Casey Kushiyama and assistant coach Kayla Reeves. Allen and Sorn will play on a different team led by Thomas More head coach Jef Hans, who led the Saints to the 2018-19 NCAA D-III National Title.

Each US squad is set to play four games against different opponents from Spain. The U.S. teams will join forces with L'Alqueria Del Basket to host a youth basketball clinic.
