TACOMA, Washington – Roxanne Krietzman scored, as the University of Puget Sound lacrosse team lost, 18-1, to Redlands on Sunday afternoon to wrap up their southern California trip.
Krietzman's goal was her sixth of the season, and it was assisted by Megan Bacher. Kerri Smith led the Loggers (1-8) with four shots.
Redlands (5-4) jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Puget Sound then got one goal back, but the Bulldogs scored six unanswered goals to end the first half. Redlands led 10-1 at the break. The Bulldogs scored eight goals in the second half to take the game, 18-1.
Goalkeeper Leah Stromberg (1-8) made eight saves. Smith, Hailey Shoemaker, and Elena Becker led the Loggers with two ground balls, while Gracie Phillips had two draw controls. Shoemaker and Elena Becker each caused a turnover.
Puget Sound will next host George Fox on Saturday, April 2. The game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
