Upperclassmen lead Logger lacrosse in 2017

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound lacrosse team was led by upperclassman during the 2017 season. The Loggers placed five players on the All-Northwest Conference Second Team, all of whom were juniors or seniors.

Senior Meghan Bacher led the Loggers with 26 goals and nine assists. She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team for her excellence in athletics and academics. Fellow senior Elena Becker was also named to the Academic All-District Team, in addition to garnering an All-Conference Second Team honor. Becker finished the season by leading Puet Sound with 41 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers.

Senior Haley Schuster and junior Ella Frazer, both members of the All-NWC Second Team, each scored 19 goals, good for third on the team. Frazer also finished the season as the team leader in draw controls with 33. Senior Hailey Shoemaker played a pivotal role in the defense, collecting 28 ground balls and causing 19 turnovers.
