Puget Sound to host Linfield, George Fox this weekend

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound lacrosse team continues its home schedule with two Northwest Conference games this weekend. The Loggers host Linfield, Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m., and then take on George Fox, Sunday, April 8, at 1 p.m. Both games are on Peyton Field.

Senior leadership

Senior Ella Frazer leads the Loggers in total with points with 13. She has eight goals and five assists so far this season. Frazer is also the team leader in draw controls (28) and caused turnovers (20).

 

Walk the walk

Ali Walker is tied for Ella Frazer for the team-lead in scoring with eight goals. Walker has three multi-goal games this season.

 

Banking on Benko

Ali Benko ranks second in the NWC with 89 saves, and her 43.8 save percentages is third.

 

Scouting Linfield (4-5, 2-2 NWC)

The Wildcats lost their two most recent games, including an 18-2 NWC loss at home against George Fox. As a team, Linfield has the lowest save percentage (35.5 percent). The Wildcats rank second in the NWC in both draw controls (125) and ground balls (170). Genna Hughes is the NWC's second-leading scorer with 34 goals.

 

Scouting George Fox (7-2, 4-0 NWC)

The first-place Bruins are 2-2 in their last four games. Jess Hanson's 35 goals and 20 assists both lead the NWC. As a team, George Fox is tops in the NWC for both goals scored per game (15.00) and goals-against (9.50). The Bruins have caused 101 turnovers this season.
